What method does everyone use for keeping moisture out of the cannisters they store their sugars in? I've heard lots of rumors, but need a good method. Thanks!

My canisters are ceramic and don't seal very well. So I really have aproblem with this, especially living in East Texas (even on a dry day our humidity is about 60%.) I would like to know too.

We always put a little rice in the salt shaker to keep in from clumping. I wonder if you put some rice in a piece of netting and tied it up and put it in the cannister if that would work???

I use Tupperware and don't have any problems because it is so air tight.

I just saw a little brown bear that is used for keeping brown sugar soft...and I think I saw one next to it that was white to keep moisture out of white sugars...The packaging for the brown bear looked like the Domino sugar (vintage) packaging. Maybe you could do a search on one of the sugar companies websites?

Here's a Click Clack. They carry them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
