I would try Michaels. If you have an A.C. Moore near you, try there.
Check out the toy department in Walmart or Toys R Us or somewhere like that ... you can always find little toys to use as cake toppers there.
This is what made me freak out in the first place. Went to Walmart and the only thing from Strawberry Shortcake that they had left were the DVD players! On top of that, their shelves in the entire toy dept were looking pretty sorry. I didn't think about Toys R Us though. I'll try Michael's first since they're closer to me. Thanks!
hiya tobinx,
Did you try going to the bakery at the wallymart and asking for a strawberry shortcake kit? They sell them for 5 dollars. You don't have to explain to them why you want it either just request the kit itself
They have a real cute one called "strawberry shortcake friends" And they might have some of the old ones left. That one is a "strawberry shortcake figurine on a cake decorated like a field of strawberries
Good luck tobinx--our Walmart will not sell any of the kits to anyone unless you buy the cake. I think I have one--when do you need it? I'll be happy to send it to you if you can't find one. Let me know--my email address is: [email protected] and please put Shortcake candle in the subject line.
I found them at walmart, but not in crafts w/ the wilton stuff, it was in a little cake decorating section in the cake mix/baking aisle. You know, where the sprinkles and regular bday candles and little tubes of icing are? Hope this helps if you haven't found one already!
