It isn't necessary to cover dummies. If you want to re-use it, the old fondant will break/peel off fairly easy.

I once used oasis in a pinch for mini samples. Because it is so much softer and less smooth than a dummy, I wrapped them first.

To prep a dummy, smooth the upper edge so that it doesn't cause tearing of the fondant. You can do this with sandpaper, an iron, a rolling pin, an emery board. Clean off any styro dust left behind and then spritz it with water and apply the fondant. To get the fondant off, you can soak the whole dummy in a bin of water or you can spray it with water while sitting in the bin and peel it off as it softens.

Oasis is the green foam used in floral arrangements.

Oasis is the flower modelling stuff. You know the green foam pieces that you pace flowers in for an arrangment.

No BC.

Oasis is the very fine, soft crumbly floral foam that is in vases with cut flowers. It's designed to hold lots of water so the flowers stay hydrated.
