I am looking at purchasing a new mixer in the next year. I have a Kitchenaid Classic and would like one that has a bigger bowl and more power. I was looking at the Kitchenaid professional. Does anyone have any advice and which they think is better. icon_biggrin.gif

Get the PRO600...the best.

Large bowl will hold 12-14 cups.

The only minor complaint is the noise, kind of like a sweaking sound.

I also recommend you purchase the Pro600. I have the Pro600 (rebuilt) and was concerned about the noise...so I went to the Kitchenaide demonstration store (very cool) and inquired if it was because it was rebuilt. They told me it was not because of that, but because of the watts/power. If I have to mix icing in the evening, I make sure I do it before my daughter goes to bed because it would definitely wake her up. BUT, I LOVE that machine! The noise it generates (like a loud whirring) is the only negative.
