It is best to make buttercream frosting in advance, or to make it when you need it?
Well, everything is better the when it is fresher, BUT, with buttercream if you have time you can make it like a week in advance and leave it at room temp.
OR, you can freeze it and then use it when you need it.
Buttercream tastes good either way.
So, it is up to you, either making in advance or when you need it, it is okay both ways. ![]()
You're right cakepro. It's been awhile since I've made an all crisco based frosting, but it does taste way better the next day. The texture also improves.
I make mine ahead of time with no problems...I use the half and half.
