Oatmeal tends to dry the batch a bit. If you have the Quaker Oats recipe for Vanishing Oatmeal cookies, look at it and compare the ratio of dry ingredients to those in your chocolate chip recipe. However, if you have a great cookie recipe, why change it? If you add chocolate chips and raisins to the Vanishing Oatmeal recipe, it is a wonderful cookie- add pecans and oooohhh my.

I like this recipe because it uses pudding in the mix and the cookies are very soft and good but I want the taste of oatmeal. They sell a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie at a sandwhich shop here called Potbellys and I love their cookies and thats what I am trying to copy. Maybe I'll try the ones you suggested and see how that goes.

I would reduce the amount of flour, maybe talk the total amount of flour, subtract 1/3 of total and replace with oatmeal

I bet it would take some experimenting to get it just right. At least it is an edible experiment.
