I am making an ivory and gold anniversary cake in fondant. So I rolled out my fondant and used a circle fondant cutter to cut out 250+ circles and then rolled them by hand into balls which I will cover with dust.... They aren't perfectly round though and they aren't all exactly the same size. Those facts don't bother me too much, but it took me and my mom a long time to make them...... I'd rather buy them. Does anyone know if there is a place to get various sized round gumpaste or fondant balls? Or, a tip for doing a better job by hand?

Wow, 250 by hand!!

Michael's (and probably many other places) sell bead makers for use with clay, for making jewelry. You could use that.

Or use any of the ones found on Sugarcraft and other cake sites. icon_smile.gif

I have two different sizes in bead makers. I love them. You can order them from Global Sugar Art. They can deliver within a week. (Got a package due in on Monday).

Here's a link to instructions on how to make them uniform in size http://www.earlenescakes.com./prlinstruct.htm Once they are partially dried I put them in a ziplock with a little dust and shake.
