I'm new to this cookie club thing and I love the idea of it all. I liked the sound of all the different cultures so I think we can do culture month. Meaning that whatever holiday your culture celebrates in March you do a cookie to show that holiday. It would be very educational, interesting, varried and devinatley colorful. Jeeze just imagine with all the places represented on this site all the lovely cookies we would see. I sure love to learn new things about people. Just a thought
That sounds very interesting and really cool.

We will celebrate anything down here! The Fire Ant Festival is big, and held about 30 minutes from me down here in South Georgia.
Imagine being "Fire Ant Queen" and "Little Miss Fire Ant"...
Good thing we don't have a Buzzard Festival
The cookie club up to now...
April's Theme: Spring/April Showers
FLOWERS for May's Theme
June's Theme: Father's Day
July Cookie Club - the beach
August's Theme: Bugs
Septembers Cookie Club theme is SCHOOL,
October cookie club themes will be "Halloween" and "Cookies for a Cause."
Novembers Cookie Club theme another dual theme Fall and Thanksgiving/Things to be thankful for.
December theme is December. Any holiday, activity, weather, celebration, etc. if it happens in December, its fine!
January theme, "things you wish for."
February theme is girly things.
Hey, I vote for the *all holidays* idea because I know I'm doing St. Pat's stuff, but I definitely want to do something for 'Respect your cat' day!! And grandparents day is important!! How does one choose?!?!?
I think doing the holidays thing is awesome too. I think maybe I'd like to make 2 or 3 different "holiday" things.....
I think I changed my vote to the ALL HOLIDAY's in March. Thanks to the list cinderspritzer posted.
Quick question... the giant list up there says Mother's Day is March 18th. I thought it was in May???
Im totally going to celebrate this...
19 Chocolate Carmel Day (AKA Gain Weight Day)
Edited to say....
Wait I think I may celebrate that everyday!
Melvira from what I just looked up I think this mother's day March 18 is celebrated in the UK.
I like that - the same as December but anything that happens in March!
Hey, people I have dough waiting!
Ooh, LOOK _ hot tub day!
hmm I dont know about the anything goes theme lol doesnt really say anything about march tho does it? I guess I was thinking more along the lines of an actual holiday in march for cultural reasons lol hey what the heck do I know? lol Guess I'll just wait and see what's decided I just love cookies whatever the occasion.
OK...so can someone explain the cookie club? Does anyone who wants to decorate cookies to go with the theme and then post them? Is there a special place to post? How do we see everyone's cookies...just look through the forums? And who makes the final decision on the theme?
Help...something new to do is waiting!!!!!

ape- there will be another thread started around the first of March.
Welcome to you and IloveYorkies85. Can't wait to see your cookie pics.
How about anything Irish leprechans lucky charms pot of gold rainbows Like an Irish Fest
Well, it's March 1st, so I'm probably too late to get my 2 cents in. I like the Movies theme the best though, or even 'your favorite movie of all time'. I think lucky charms would be a fun one to do too.
I love the big list of holidays, but if we are all doing something for completely different themes, how will we see different interpretations of one general idea? Wasn't that a big part of choosing a theme in the first place? I'm not trying to be bossy or anything, I just really love it when the theme is a little more focused, but still allows wiggle room for creativity.
i agree with momsandraven about having a more focused theme than the 'any holiday' one. i vote for the favorite movie theme too!
What is quote "your interpretation of March Madness", the March cookie theme?
Does that mean basketball? What can you do with basketball?'
I think I don't understand the theme...
HELP PLEASE!?!
When I think of March Madness I think of Basketball only.
I really like the holiday theme or the movie theme.
I figured it out - or perhaps I went nuts.. heh, heh, heh...
