Where do you find your pictures for your FBCT? I have never done one and would like to try it. I looked at the tutorial on it on this site and mostly all I could find were coloring pages. Can you use a regular picture or what?

Please share where you look for ideas.

Thanks!! icon_smile.gif

I like to look in the free cliparts. You can use a real picture too -- you just have to be good enough to draw an outline of it yourself. I would take the pic and put tracing paper over it and trace what you wanted. Then put your wax paper or glass over that.

Good luck! icon_smile.gif

I think most of us use coloring pages because they are easy to fill in with color. Hopefully if someone has used a real photo can give you some input.

I have used a real photo one time - of a race car (the birthday boy's). What I did was to use photo special effects on my photo software (not photo shop, but something similar, i think) to turn in black/white, then sharpened the edges and the special effect I used was to turn it into a coloring page. It took some tinkering to get the lines I wanted prominent, but it worked - of course, I was able also to flip the image so I got the reverse car number, etc.

I take pictures out of kids books, coloring books, use the party napkins, plates, pretty much whatever and scan and/or enlarge what I want to do the transfer of.

If its on my computer I print it using reverse image and I'm all set to go.

I've never used a real photo though.

I use coloring pages. I search them on the internet. I think they are pretty easy because the outline "lines" are already done for you and you can essentially just trace them. I did one once from a picture (not a photo) and it worked fine but took a bit longer than coloring pages.

Good luck.
