Does anyone have a recipe for homemade confectioner's glaze? Or does anyone know what is in it to begin with?
Thanks

I don't believe there is a home recipe for confectioners glaze. It is a commercial product. You might be able to buy some from a local baker, you can order it from a number of sources, in small or large amounts.

It's a waxy substance in some sort of solvent. It makes a horrible mess. I hate it when I have to use it, which isn't very often, thank goodness. It's hard to get off of utensils, bowls and - especiall - brushes. YUK!

Thanks for trying angelcakesmom but not the right recipe....... that's petit four icing and I'm looking for a product you put on gumpaste flowers/etc..... but thanks again

I bought some but would prefer to make my own if it was cost effective.
From Crimsicle's description it sounds like a product for Goo Gone.
