I can see why a post would get deleted. This one called someone's integrity into question, and while throughout the post there seemed to be very valid reasons for questioning the integrity, I do think that the moderators were just acting responsibly and deleting the post until the matter could clearly be investigated or resolved. Just a thought, it just seems to make sense to be fair all the way around.
I'm gonna take a guess. Although I think everyone behaved themselves I think maybe if I were new and I saw the title to the post and the reply that the orininal poster left after the first thread was locked I might be intimidated to participate in the forum. So maybe it was best to just delete it just so that new people wouldn't feel like they were going to be attacked.
my 2 cents
I'll let the crickets get back to chirping
We felt that it was best to remove it from the site so that the subject would be dropped. The original poster of the thread realized that the person who created the website for them used the wrong photos and the issue was immediately rectified.
Also, it has been brought up that some of our members here at CC have been calling this person over the phone and harrassing them. I think that issues on CC should stay at CC, that is why we come here, to get away from the real world and relax and share cake ideas. But since the site admins and the moderators cannot control what people do outside of CC I think it would be appreciated if that type of behavior did not happen again.
gotcha! tnx for the explanation..
...makes sense actually...soooo...let us just go back to crickets chirping... ![]()
Thank you m0use for clarfying that. ![]()
No more crickets ![]()
Calling people on the phone? Wow. That's some serious stuff. I followed it through about page 12 where the original poster shared the pm and sorta explained herself. I must say, for the 12 pages worth of posts I read, it was a very well behaved thread.
And from someone who is a relative newbie-just-turned-whatevercomesafternewbie, everyone here has been more than kind to me. My skill level is no where near most of the folks here, but no one here has ever bashed me or been unkind in any way.
On the subject of another thread that disappeared, there was one giving a link to respond.com, I think, saying that they added a wedding cake category. Why would that be deleted? Should we avoid posting certain links? I'm not heartbroken it disappeared, just curious.
