How do you make sanding sugar?I know you can buy it but I think I remember reading that you can make your own.

Sanding sugar is typically very glittery. You can make colored sugars, and superfine sugar, but I believe to get that shine, you have to buy it.

Are you talking about moulding sugar? What exactly do you do with sanding sugar?

Google is your friend, SC.

Sanding sugar is big-grained sugar, sometimes in colors, used to decorate cookies or cakes. Its pieces (grains) are bigger than normal sugar and it looks pretty.

I don't know how you could increase the grain size of table sugar at home but if you just want the color, try shaking up regular sugar with a tiny bit of food coloring.

how about just buying it? They have it at most grocery stores now.

I just bought some pink sanding sugar from williams-sonoma and it's soooo cute! I love it but haven't had the chance to use it yet.
