I'm new to CC but I love it here.

Anyways I wanted to make the buttercream frosting that called for the cake flour because I was just going to make a cake with it too and went to wal-mart and the don't have it so I just pick up a box mixed and will do that. Now for the frosting I have merquie powder, I guess my question is how much of the powder should I use?

thanks.

It depends on your recipe. Meringue powder is basically dried eggwhite and some cream of tartar. Used with just water, you get royal icing.

It can be used to stiffen some other icings-cause them to crust on the outside.
