How do I shape a cake into a beer bottle? That nice rounded shape to stand it up on cake vs laying it down? I've seen pics of them standing UP, but not sure what pan helped cake to be so rounded or did they half a bread sized pan cake 2x and combine together? HElp me!

what i would do is carve it, make a sheet cake or just a single layer cake, and cut circle and stack em up, frosted in between, and carve the neck part of the bottle. Also you could make it, if its just for decoration, out of rice krispies treats, like on Ace of Cakes.

Hi! If you did the stacking...how do you keep it from falling over? I understand how dowels keep something from falling apart, but how do you stabalize something tall and narrow?THANKS!

Well it depends on the size your making it. If it were something small, lets say the cake rounds were 2" round, you could stack it up and run a dowel through the center of the all, so that a long dowel went all the way thru, all the way down.

OK, is there an easier way, perhaps maybe halve 2 oval cakes and shape it, then frost together? I wish I knew a much simpler way! Thanks for the ideas, and keep helping me here!
