Hi, I need some advice from the CC gurus on making a 2 inch 1/2 sheet cake into a 3 inch half sheet cake for a baby shower cake. I've read the article here at CC but my cake will be a rectangle, any differences in the directions or any tips you can supply would be appreciated. This is probably a silly question but I am charging for this cake and would like it to be great!
Thanx in advance!

If you mean you baked a single layer that is 2 inches in height and you wish to acheive an overall height of 3 inches, just torte it and fill it. That should take it right to 3" when iced.

I think torting and filling would be a good way to go also!

I never knew you could this. I could not figure out how some cakes were so high. i just figured they were two cakes on top of each other but i thought that would really look off. anyway dont i feel dumb now. i cant wait to try this.
