Got an e-mail from the Hobby Lobby Wilton Supervisor and if I want the position all I have to do is "Show THEM the money!" LOLL So, now all I have to do is take a little time and talk with hubby and make a final decision. It's a PROJECT! I LOVE Projects! LOLL
Actually, if my husband is supportive ( he always IS) I will probably do it because it combines 2 of the 3 favorite things in my life....teaching and cake decorating.
Just happy and wanted to share!

Congratulations! Best of luck with whatever decision you make. Even if you decide against it (which it doesn't sound like you will), it's nice to know that it's yours if you want it.
"Show them the money"????
I need to purchase an Instructor's Kit with all the Lesson Plans, etc. that I will need to conduct the class. It's only $25.00 and believe me....as a former teacher...Lesson Plans already complete.....WELL WORTH IT!!!
Congratulations!! I teach in central Illinois at HL, it is fun
I'll have a one hour drive (each way) but, it's in Owensboro KY and there is a STARBUCKS and great shopping...NO PROBLEM! LOLL
If you don't mind, I may PM you later about how you handle the "marketing" aspect. Will that be okay?
I'm really getting excited, but, I also want to be realistic about it. I have come to really enjoy my "freedom" as a Pastor's secretary. I work 3 days a week with a REALLY FLEXIBLE schedule which allows me to travel for mission work as I choose. Now, this job will allow me to actually make the money to travel...so that's a BIG PLUS!! LOLL

Just curious... what's the third thing you love?
Nursing. I'm a retired nurse/nursing instructor.

congratulations! Enthusiastic teachers that have a love for what they are teaching are the best!
I know that position has been open for a while. I was considering doing it. I am in Evansville and it would have been an hour drive each way to and from class. I didn't see that it was worth it. I held out and I was glad I did, I got a Jo Anns account here in Eville I wish you the best, if you have any questions please feel free to ask....
Best Wishes

THANKS! I'm sure I'll need it! I've pm'd you already!

Bethola, yes you can pm me LOL I was thinking the third thing you love, hopefully #1--was your husband!!
Look at this as a great experience, even if it is an hour drive each way. Will you be going to one of the AIM meetings this year? I am going to the one June 30-31 in Chicago. Maybe we can meet up. Who is your class marketing supervisor?
I do have a few things to share with you that will hopefully help.
Thanks everyone!!
SweetTreatsbyCarol: Notice I said the three THINGS I love. My husband is the #1 PERSON I love! Nice save, huh? LOLL
WHAT exactly is an AIM? I saw that today on the Hobby Lobby site. Probably won't make the Chicago meeting since I live only 1 1/2 hours from Nashville TN. That will probably be where I go. But, maybe sometime we CAN meet. I would enjoy that!

edited to say: SORRY forgot to add that my supervisor will be Karen Johnson.
AIM is annual instructor meeting. This will be my first time going--looking forward to it!!
Thanks! Actually MY Wilton Instructor told me about the meeting in March and invited me to the Nashville meeting. It is the 9,10, and 11th. But since I'm new I dont' know if I can attend one or not. If I get the colorflow designs done that are needed the next week, I may go, if I can.
Thanks for the info! Newbies Need Help!! LOLL
