I made this cake for my next door neighbor and they absolutely loved it. She turned 2 and is in love with everything Dora. That was all that was requested of this cake - it had to have Dora on it. So I just put the Dora candle at the top (not yet on in this pic) and the Dora faces that I picked up at Michaels. It was a gift this cake and overall, I am fairly happy with it.

Thanks for looking. I love Cake Central and got inspired for this cake from pictures that I saw here.

Your stacked cake is very pretty. You did a great job. It looks so fun, and I'm sure the birthday girl loved it.

I was a little nervous if the mom would like the cake, but she did seem to like it. I like the bright colors, but I wasn't sure she would. I was so glad that everyone liked it!

Now I can't wait for another excuse to do a cake! Now to tacked FBCT!

If I was going to charge for this cake, I was thinking around $60 to $65. Do you think that is a good price? I have never charged for a cake before.... It took me 2 hours to decorate and 1 hour total to bake. There were 2 batches of BC and 1/3 batch of MMF (if that helps). Both layers were box mixes.

TIA

Just by looking at it I guessed $65.

Two tiered with fondant, I would say (depending on your neck of the woods) anywhere from $50 - $65.
Great Job!! icon_smile.gif Love the colors!

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the replies! I guess that my estimate was pretty accurate? I suppose I would go on the lower side then to see if that would drum up some more business....

Thanks again.

For a cake that size I have charged $50. But I know I am only making like $4 an hour when I do that!
