I was on here last week and ran across a article (that showed pictures also) of Putting icing in Plastic wrap (saran wrap) and then putting it in your bags to decorate. I can't remember who posted the article either... I have looked and looked for it this morning and seem to not be able to find it. Can someone please help me?

Thanks!

I tried doing a search too. Came up with nothing. Do you know what day you saw it or at least close to the day maybe that could help you find it. Sorry not much help. but here's a bump. maybe someone else knows.

I haven't used saran wrap but I use disposable icing bags for this . I save my icing bags if they still have icing in them that I am likely to use again in the future I clip the coupler off and then clip it with a stationary clip and save it in my crisper drawer then when I need it again I can just drop it into an Wilton icing bag and go. I also use washed Disposable bags with the end folded over with paper clip to fill and use when needed, then pull out fold over ends and put away till next time leaving me with a clean icing bag to throw a new color into. I also like to do this when I am using two colors together for a border as I can slip to different bags of colored icing into my one good piping bag and it gives me a nice even half and half colored border.Have also used ziplocks this way, place icing in bag then snip a tip and roll excess bag around and remove air from bag. You can then drop it in your main icing bag use it then remove and your icing bag is clean to throw a different color in and you just have to fold over the tip and clip to save the rest of the icing in baggie. I am sure rolling icing in saran wrap works the same way, I'm just cheap and like to get as much use out of my disposable bags as possible.

Hope this makes sense !!!

I saw that thread a long time ago, too. I tried it once, then went to using the ziplock bags for each of my colors. They are awesome! I love interchanging my colors with the same piping bag.
