Thanks again to everyone for all of your wonderful suggestions.
As I said before, I don't have easy access to Americolours, neither do I have an airbrush, and lucky me, my local cake shop that carries CakeCraft colours, didn't have black!!
Anyhow, I tried with the Wilton gel paste and that only gave me dark green fondant, even after adding more after letting it sit over night (twice!).
So I went back to my cake shop and they gave me some powdered colouring and that did the trick!! ![]()
Thanks again to everyone!
Wonderful job on your cakes, boonenatie. And thanks Antonia74 and Liis for sharing your pictures too - they're both great!!![]()

Kiddo, were you using McCall's fondant by any chance?
I make my own fondant, and when I need black I make chocolate fondant and add black powdered food colour, and then gel if I need more. You just replace come of the sugar for cocoa powder, and add a bit more shortening and glycerin to the recipe, to make up for the astringency of the cocoa. It works perfectly and is not sticky at all.
