Ok so I need to do a cake for the mayor and this is what I was told: Feed 20+ people, have a heart, american flag and scottish flag. These are what I cam up with. Which one do you like and what would be the best way to do it in your opinion?

I love the second image. Do you have an edible image printer. If not, what about doing the design on a one-half sheet cake using a chocolate or fbct? I don't like flat cakes but I think the design is awesome.

i was thinking fbct but i hate it when they bleed... I was thinking an edible image. I just have to find one. the first one is what they gave me but I am going to see if they approve of the second one.

I like the second one. maybe you could make a 1/2sheet cake and cut it out and make the us flag higher 3d like. that is how i do a lot of my cakes. i haven't ever used a shaped pan i enjoy doing the carving and 3d myself. a little extra work but i think its worth it. my scooby doo, and over the hedge cake are like that.

I also like the second one better, but I suggest that since we read left to right here, you put the American Flag on the left side, since in display, the American Flag is always displayed first or highest.

What about a color-flow plaque that can be removed at cutting time? Then you can paint the back with melted cocoa butter and not have to worry about bleeding.

I plan on taking the 50 out so I did it in reverse in case I used a fbct. i did not even think of color flow... I may do that

I found this, it's a Texas and a Scotland flag. Easy enough to change to US flag.
