Satin Ice is better then wilton. I also do a thicker crumb coat this way people can still taste the buttercream underneath it.

You could try some extracts. Have you tried the MMF recipe on here? You can add extracts to that too. I read on here that you can add a pinch of popcorn salt to cut down on the sweetness too.( I haven't tried that one yet) But if you do a search I'm sure you could find a topic on it telling how much. Try some and experiment a little. hth

Im not sure what type of fondant your using but please for you own sake NEVER use Wilton! I make my MMF. I absolutely love it. If you want to by fondant and not make it I would recommend Satin Ice. Here is the webpage i used when making MMF for the first time. The directions are easy to follow and I have never had a problem!
Peggy, the woman who runs the site is totally awesome and will answer any questions you have if you email her!

I totally agree with the others here about doing the MMF. It was easy to make, tasted much better and was a lot cheaper also. I just tried it for the first time about 2 weeks ago and it was not a problem to make at all. I even did the chocalate MMF and it was really good. If you make that people won't have a problem eating it at all. Enjoy! Thanks to all for this site and all the wonderful and helpful info.

you can add flavoring to help. Also put regular coat of buttercream under it the fondant will absorb the flavors.
