200 cupcakes (with top tier for cake). I have a bride that wants cupcakes and wants 200 of them. Do you know how many tiers I would need to hold that many? Would I need 2 cupcake stands? Any help is wonderful since I have never done a cupcake wedding. Also, does anyone know where to get those "LARGE" cardboard cupcake stands. I have been looking all over the internet and can not find a distributor anywhere.

Thank you for your input.....

There was a thread not too long ago about making your own cupcake stands. They resemble a wedding cake (painted plywood boxes, stacked, with a ribbon around each base). They were super-cute. Maybe you could type cupcake stand in the search engine and it will pop up. The thread even mentioned how many cupcakes each "layer" held. The more cupcakes, the more "layers". Like I said, super-cute. You just have to know how to do some simple construction, or know someone who does.

I wonder if you covered cake dummies with fabric and stacked them how that would work. I would probably dowel through the center and/ or glue them together. Just a thought.

Antonia74 graciously offered instructions on how to construct her wooden box cupcake stands awhile ago.

If anyone would like them please PM me your email address and I'll be happy to forward them along.
