I could be wrong but if it's not a public bathroom i'm not sure why you would need a handicap bathroom.
Debbie
I know when we moved into our new building we have four bathroom used by both sexes and one was a handicapped bathroom used by all. I can not remember where I looked but you have to have handicapped parkings space (if you are renting then you need to talk to your landlord) and if you have only bathroom you can have to make it access for the handicapped. If your building is not that old the door should be wide enough for a wheelchair then you will just need to put bars on the wal. If you have multiply stall then one needs to be handicapped.
I hope that helps. It was a nightmare for use trying to figure that out becuase we hardly have customers at the place I work at.
look here,

if you are going to open a rental kitchen would you not offer space to someone handicapped this can come back to you and not be fair to everyone wanting to rent from. Just a thought. Even if your bathroom is shared by both sexes you can still make it handicapped better to safe then have some happy lets sue you becuase you do not have the properly bathroom for someone renting from.
Thanks for the links....... although, as is to be expected it is a maze of bureaucracy, how does anyone find any information from a gov't website? I've been trying to find out all kinds of information from the secretary of state website, the city website..... who designs this stuff? I have a college degree, true it is in math, but I am good at thinking and I do know how to read very well. How is the gov't serving the people with websites that take you in circles and don't actually give you information....... okay, off the soap box. I will continue to peruse through that site, it is bound to be in there somewhere, I really appreciate the the lead. I get really frustrated with Gov't sometimes.
