A young, single, female teacher I work with asked me to make 20 cupcakes, decorated & filled for her to give to a male friend of hers for Valentine's Day. We got together, decided on fillings, etc. I brought them to her yesterday, & she was thrilled. Here's the aggravating part: She showed them to other coworkers, because she was so happy with them. The secretary the proceeds to whine & beg her "for just one" - "he won't miss just one", etc. The poor girl was on the spot, & gave her one. Of all the nerve of this woman! She knew these were for a special occasion, & still would not stop! I just hate seeing good people taken advantage of. As far as the secretary, she is a professional "Beggar"!!!! Always wanting something for nothing!

What nerve! Grrr! icon_mad.gif

I don't understand people like that? It's someone else's gift...if you want your own, BUY your own!

I just don't understand how some people can be like that. Shame on her for being down right RUDE and indifferent to someone's feelings.

Every office has one .... it's like they are a bloodhound sniffing out the free food!

Put in perspective .... you would NEVER do this with:

"Look at the gloves I just bought my daughter!"
"Oh can I have one! AFter all, you have two!"

"I got a great deal on Christmas wrapping paper at lunch today!"
"Great! Can I have 3 rolls so I don't have to tread out in the snow to buy my own?"

As my husband is fond of saying, "Poor-a$$ people have Poor-A$$ ways!" (BTW..... There's a big difference between being "poor" and being "poor-a$$"!)

I so know where you are coming from.

I made cake balls for my boss for our company Christmas party. The Christmas party was on a Saturday night at her house, and she paid me full price for the cake balls.

I brought the cake balls to work on Friday so my boss could take them home with her and have everything set up for Saturday. Well I asked a co-worker to help me with the seran wrap I had over the cake balls on a plate, and as she was helping me, she reached in and grabbed one and popped it in her mouth!!

I could have killed her. Yeah it was for our company party and she'd be eating them anyway, but I didn't even taste test them because I knew my boss was payin full price and was expecting so many cake balls.

Plain and simple, some people are just stupid! I read a quote last year I like a lot by someone well know, although I can't remember who, but it goes like this "Too bad stupidity isn't painful!"

I think I would have said something to the whining/beggar of a secretary about ordering her own. You can't hedge around things with people like this.
As for the co-worker who helped herself to what the boos had ordered, I think I would have wanted to slap her. But alas I am too nice for that. Dang.............. Ü
