I was not very impressed with this season's top 24......seems like last year's finalists were better, at more memorable.
I really don't have a favorite. Well, maybe except for the single mom.....I can't remember her name but she really sings good.
I like the single mom, too. I like Sundance, too, even though he was awful during Hollywood week. I hope he picks it up pretty soon! Also the young guy with the big hair, I can't remember his name. I like him. None of the women are really standing out for me.
I was So in love with Bo Bice 
He made me Melt when he sung.
This year I really like the single mom. I can not remember her name either. All I know is I really like her. No one else really stands out.
Gosh, I am REALLY impressed with this season's final 24! I think there is so much talent! I was bummed that Bailey Brown didn't make it (I thought she was better than the one who made it in her place), but I am really excited to see how everyone does. I love the guy (Chris something) who has the big curly hair (kind of reminds me of Jack Osbourne 
), and I love Gina from the girls group. I love AI!!!
i love the guy with the big curly hair too!! he sings great and he's got an awesome personality. he cracked me up when he went in to see the judges and said " i bet you're all wondering why i called this meeting..."
i just love this time of year when AI is on. it makes me warm and fuzzy.
last year, i gave birth in april , and i had AI on in the delivery room. mandica was eliminated that night. funny the things we remember huh?

I am going to be bold and make my predictions now. I see Lakisha Jones and Chris Sligh making it to the top 5.
cakerator, I had my twins last January and I had AI on in my room too!!! That's so funny, I don't think I missed one episode last season being home all the time, that was my entertainment! lol I really like Taylor Hicks last season, no one has really stuck out to me yet this year.

Yeah, they just turned 1 in Jan. Where does the time go?? lol They are fraternal twins, one boy and one girl. I also have a son who will be 3 in May.

Boy, I think there's a lot of talent, but not as much personality as there has been in the past. Remember all the drama that one gal (can't remember her name -- but she really believed it was all about her and then she got voted off 2nd) -- anyway, I just wish more would stand out. I do like the guy with the curly hair, and Lakisha. She's great. I did not think the last gal should have made it -- she blew it in Hollywood week, and the other gal sounded better to me. I wonder if her looks got her through?
Can't believe that there are some people who've made it through two or three times now -- that's amazing!

Okay, I finally watched both nights of AI this afternoon. Interesting. I do have some favs and they do not necessarily have to do with singing, but most of the people we barely got a snippit of them so it is hard to get attached. My favs include: Blake Lewis (Wow, I can't believe that beat boxing is still cool... 
), Brandon Rogers, Chris Sligh (I love anyone and especially guys, that have hair like me! Oh and he is pretty good too! ), Lakisha Jones (man, that girl can belt it out!), Melinda Doolittle (another one that has great talent!), Phil Stacey (OMG, is he a cutie or what? 
Oh and he sings great!), Sabrina Sloan (again, the hair factor! ), Sanjaya Malakar (YAHOO! so glad he made it--he won't last long, but I'm glad he got this far), and Sundance too (he HAS to get his act together though). Okay, so I have a few favs. Men are up on Tuesday, we will see who does their thing!

Can't help but mention this Missyek, but I LOVE your Avatar pic! Kiefer is awesome!
That said, I agree with your pics. I think the men are stronger as a group than they have been in the past, but except for Chris Sligh, there aren't any major personalities. I hope Lakisha goes far.
Hey, who was the blonde gal who had a lower voice? Didn't seem like she was all that great to me, but then I guess that's why I'm not paid the big bucks to sit there and decide their destiny!

I totally agree! As soon as Lakisha made it I knew she was the one I am going to watch all season. She is a natural talent. She's the best female voice this year.
I think the judges blew it big time with the last two girls and the last two guys. I would have chosen the two they didn't pick!
I agree, this year's top 24 are not impressive except for the single mom!

Yes, thank goodness for AI. It premiered the day my husband shipped out for 7 1/2 months. It definately helped me get through that day!
Now I can't wait for Dancing with the Stars to start in March. WOO! I have an awesome tv line up while my hubby is gone! Hey, it's the little things that get me through each day.

I liked her from the beginning....I hate that she got with those other 2 girls who were friends. I think she would have done better without them!
Love the beat box guy too! I don't know if he can sing...but boy, the group he was with and he broke out in beat box! That was awesome!!
I agree about the bad decision with the last 2 girls, but not necessarily with the last 2 guys. The other guy had a big head and an attitude (remember how he flipped off the camera when he got in the elevator?)
I've had enough of that kind of attitude, honestly! Sundance may not be the better singer, but he is definitely the nicer person, if attitude is any way to judge.

I was disappointed with the guys last night. I didn't think any of them did as well as they could have. But I think I'm getting a crush on the one guy, Chris (?) the one they said reminded them of Justin Timberlake...he's got the dreamiest eyes! LOL

yeah, I didn't the guys did very good either. I still like Chis Sligh.....hopefully the ladies will do better.

I thought Blake (the cute blondie who does the beat box thing and sang the great Keane song last night), Phil (the cute baldie ), and Nick did the best last night. I was pretty disappointed with the guys overall, though.
The girls did better, IMO. I thought Stephanie, Gina, and Lakisha rocked tonight. I thought that was great when Simon told Lakisha that he was tempted to tell the other 23 finalists to pack their bags now because she was so amazing.
Here's who I think will be voted off tomorrow night:
guys: Sanjaya and AJ (maybe) or Rudy
girls: Antonella, Alaina, maybe Leslie

I'm hoping it will be Sanjaya and Antonella... I just don't think they have what it takes, plus there's something about them that grates on me. It's really not fair to Antonella, I guess, since it was her friend that really got on my nerves, but now I just can't root for her.
Every year during this phase I think "they are not as good as last year", but the fact is, nobody ever sounds as good as the last episode of the previous year. The instrumental part of the music is sub-par, the contestants are not used to the microphone and balancing out the sound; and they just don't have that experience yet of performing on TV. However, the guys need A LOT of help, a lot more than in previous years because none of them stood out except for that one blonde guy. I do think that about five of the girls should absolutely go right now, but I think four or five of them are phenominal, and another two could become phenominal. I am looking forward to hearing more from them.
I was surprised that Antonella was safe!! I thought for sure she was a goner!!
I still think that Jared Cotter is P R E T T Y!!!!! He as a beautiful smile!! I am all about TEETH...last season there were a couple of bad-teeth people...and now I see that Bucky Covington has a video out and he has BRACES...and Fantasia was on Tyra Banks the other day and SHE has BRACES...and I think Kelly Pickler is getting her teeth worked on also...I tell you...I know what everyone's teeth look like.
This year the teeth are all pretty!!
