1 lb. confectioners' sugar
3/8 cup milk
3/8 cup light corn syrup
flavoring as desired

In a mixing bowl, mix the sugar and milk first. Add corn syrup just until combined.
Divide to flavor and add color.

.....found it in another thread

Do you know if it will harden like royal icing or does it stay soft with the corn syrup?

It does harden, but not as hard as royal, and it takes a bit more time to dry completely. Overnight is best.

trick:

since both the corn syrup and milk are liquids...

use measuring cup for liquids....then 3/8 = 3 ounces.

together you'll have 3/4 cup....

stir milk into corn syrup to thin and will be easier to get the corn syrup out of the cup!
