I know there are tons of us with our feet under the stoves today... fingers dipped in icing and sprinkles in our hair... anyone else have crappy weather? There are tornado's flying around a couple of states over and heading this way, it's storming.. I am like, how can I be happy about all of these V-day orders when the weather stinks? I left my cake boards in the truck and who wants them soaking wet? I know there are a lot of you in snow up to your rooftops, so I shouldn't complain.. I just keep thinking, OMG what if the power goes out and I can't make the icing.. guess that is the benefit of 2 mixers.. maybe I should get it churning... sorry just venting... oh and being 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant with a little boy booger doesn't help, but he is the sunshine at the end of this day for sure... have fun baking your goodies.... and Happy Valentine's Day fellow CC'ers

Didn't know I was under a tornado watch, too!! See, there ARE reasons for constantly watching this board!! I knew it looked crappy out there, no rain yet, but it's coming. It's overcast and humid..but a kinda cool humid...if that makes sense. I have the windows open for the breeze, but every once in a while I get a whiff of something funky out there. Guess, I could close the window, but I'd have to leave my computer and my cookie deco'ing. icon_lol.gif

Thanks for the heads up about the storm!!

I feel blessed to say that all we're havin' is a little rain today! I do feel for all of those who are snowed in, blown over, under water, etc....I pray for all of them everyday I watch the news...but one thing is for sure...visiting CC always makes me happy! Its like 'comfort food' for me....xoxoxoxoxo

There is bad weather headed your way. I'm in Louisiana, & we had quite a few tornadoes just after midnight. Lots of damage to homes, etc. I haven't heard of any fatalities - sure hope & pray there were none. Good luck to you during this weather!

We are under blizzard warnings here in northern Indiana! Supposed to get 9-12 inches with winds up to 35 mph!! I feel blessed though as New York has gotten over 100 inches of snow!! Cannot imagine!! Heard that one elderly lady was killed in New Orleans tornado!

Be mindful of those warnings - just saw on the news that a suburb of New Orleans was hit; a hotel lost it's roof and some poor woman was killed - BE CAREFUL AND TAKE COVER!

Well we are getting yet another round of snow here in colorado. Needless to say I am sick of the snow already. LOL. But since the weather is so crappy I am using it to my advantage and getting my valentines treats finished up. I just hope that the weather is good enough tomorrow to bring them to my nephew an hour north of me. I will just have to wait and see. icon_smile.gif

Yeah....I'm buried under about a foot of snow right now, and more coming tonight! However, the city workers have done a fabulous job cleaning the roads!

I heard about the tornados in LA on the news...sure hoping there were no fatalities. Makes one count their blessings!

There is bad weather expected almost everywhere east of the Mississippi River over the next 2-3 days. Here in PA we are told to expect anywhere from 1-15 inches of snow, with the western areas and higher elevations taking the brunt of it. In Allentown, where I live, we have been given a forecast of 4-8 inches, snow mixed with sleet and freezing rain overnight. I worry very much in this weather, as my son is an EMT, and he is out on the ambulance all day long.

Everyone out there, keep safe, warm and dry.

I'm sitting waiting for our 10-12in. of snow. The kids were still having fun with the 7 in from last week. It could be worse, I could be in Northern New York with 10-12 FEET. I just saw in the news this morning about the tornados. What is Mother Nature up to?

She's just letting us know that she is still the boss. Either that, or she is out of Midol and chocolate again.

It poured ice for hours this morning and now it looks like a blizzard...with 3-9 inches coming over the next few hours (we're right on the line for the bigger amounts). They called off school, so at least I didn't have to try to get to work. But the DH is over in St. Louis and has to navigate the bridge later.
But, I have a fire burning and my DD is here with me. So, it's chick flicks and hot chocolate for us!

Well the storms left our town wet but unscathed, thank God... my orders have all made it out, except the preschool ones, headed that way. Just wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day to everyone, and for those of you still in bad weather, you are in my thoughts!
