if she still likes elmo, maybe you could just mix it up a little, like big bird with elmo sitting on his lap. not much help here my daughters always ask for 10 different cakes so i just pick one. i did a nemo cake this year for daughters 4th. i think it went over great. but the pic was to big to upload to my pics.
I just did my dd 3rd and dora is ofcourse a big hit but what shows does your dd like could you do backyardagian's or jo jo's circus even barbie?
My DD's 3rd Birthday is coming up in April and she wants a Scooby party. It's funny because my oldest DD had a Scooby Birthday when she was 3 as well. I think this year I'm going to do a FBCT of Scooby on a sheet cake. Is it just me or do all 2 year olds have an Elmo birthday?? Everyone I know that has kids has had an Elmo or Sesame Street birthday for their 2 year olds. When I want to figure out what kind of party to give my kids I go to www.birthdayexpress.com for ideas. I don't usually buy the decorations off of there but it gives me ideas. HTH.
My DD's third birthday is coming up in April and she keeps changing her mind
. One day she says she wants Strawberry Shortcake, then it's Princess and then it's Tinker Bell (her room is Tinkerbell). The only "theme" that is consistent is that she told me it has to have purple in it since it's her "favorite color".
Sorry no help, but wanted to let you know I'm in the same boat. DD had Dora last year and to be honest, I am DONE with Dora. Dora drives me nuts!
Good luck!

Personally, if my daughter wanted Elmo again, I would do it...just give it a new look=) My sister wouldn't let my nephew be spiderman again last Halloween, and he was seriously upset, what fun does that make for him? To me, it is their day and I would do whatever I could to make that day as special as I could=) So if my daughter wants a My Little Pony cake again next year, she will get it=) She only has a 5th b-day once=) Jen
I did a strawberry shortcake theme for my daughter's 1st birthday party this past december (i loved miss shortcake when i was a kid!!) anyway, i used the old wilton pan from 1986 that i picked up at a yard sale and just got the insert from wilton.com..... all the other stuff for the party was newer SS.... good luck!
