My stupid Michael's hasn't marked any of the clearanced cake stuff down yet, and they guard their clearance items list like gold. I'd love to know what stuff is on clearance!

So, what did ya get? icon_biggrin.gif

I din't get any cake items but I did get a Wedding Favor kit for $9.00.

Came with 50 small clear boxes (approx. 2X2X1 1/4) with ribbon. I use these for individual chocolate dipped oreos or the fancy petit fours.

The Michael's in my area didn't have anything marked clearance for cake/candy as of Friday. Maybe they will do something this week. icon_sad.gif

Oh, I also bought the birthday/wedding cake candy kit for $5.00.

Comes with 3 molds to make mini 3-tier chocolate candy "cake", decorative accent molds and candy melts. I plan on using the molds like Kathy Scott's petit four molds that I have.

Fill the molds with chocolate and pour out, freeze to make a shell. Cut cake to fill shell then seal with more chocolate. That's my idea, I'll post if it works.

I bought the spongebob treat molds for 3.00 each. They had a few other things on clearance, but I didn't want/need any of those. Michaels didn't have very much marked down.

Wilton candy melts were on sale when I went today. They are 1.79 a bag. All the white chocolate was gone... rats. However, I did get some dark chocolate. That was all I saw here in Tennessee.

Dang, all that stuff you all mentioned is on clearance in my Michael's, but I could have sworn I read in another thread that people were finding expensive cake stands (~$70) for like 20 bucks!

I'll keep my fingers crossed. As they move all these new items in, surely they'll be cutting loose with some of the older stuff to make shelf space. Hopefully! icon_biggrin.gif
