I took a cookie decorating class this week. It was the first time I have made cookies form sratch and not the frozen store stuff. We used the Toba Garrnett Glaze. Well I have finally given it the 24 hours to dry and taken a few pitcures before taking my first bite.

All I can say is wow this thing is sweet. Too sweet if you ask me. But I am very sensative to sugar. I was wondering does anyone else find it to be too sweet also. I wanted to make some to take to work and some for my boyfriends 3rd grade class for Wednesday but I'm not sure now.

Sorry, its sugar, and unfortunately, it is sweet. The advantage of the glace' is that can be applied a bit thinner than royal or any of the rolled icings.

One thing that can help is to use a cookie that is less sweet. If the un-iced cookie is sweet, adding more sugar can put it over the top.

I make my cookies on the thick side, that way the icing is not so overpowering.

I've only made it once, but both DH & I thought Toba's glace was too sweet. My kids loved it, so if these are for 3rd graders I think it'll be fine.
