i am making an anniversary cake for my 10th anniversary. got the cake iced with whipped bc frosting, looks pretty descent...problem is, it dosen't hold up to make roses...what's the best recipe that i could use to make the roses? the cake needs to be finished tonite...can i just add confection sugar to the frosting without making it too sweet? any help would be appreciated...TIA, again.

I use a really stiff buttercream to make my roses... they stay soft enough to cut and eat and people love them.. I use an all shortening recipe for my roses .. hope this helps!
What was the recipe you used for whipped bc? Did it originally have powdered sugar in it? I would say add more to make it thicker if it did.
