Any one have any ideas for a cake? I know my son wants something like an Indian village. I have seen how to make a teepee out of a sugar cone but I am stumped for any other ideas.
You could do a totem pole out of toilet paper rolls. Just cover it w/ fondant & pipe your BC face, hands etc on it. That would be really easy~
Another idea, make a camp fire. Use pretzel sticks for the wood, candy rocks or fondant for the rocks around the fire, & red icing for the fire.
I'd even add some drawings on the side of the cake. You know the drawings that Indians made it caves. Horses, cows, deer, stick people, & such. That would be cool.
OH... do a blanket! Have it laying close to the teepee!
Now my creative juices are flowing!! I want to make an Indian cake!! OH>>> a BCT of an Eagle & put it on the teepee!! I'm making this cake!! LOL!!
oh good then you can send me a picture so I can make it........lol. I was trying to get a REALLY big jump on things cause my sons b-day isn't until April. I just wanted to start making practice cakes now.
Hi,
Don't know if these ideas will help but here are a few pictures of cakes with a native theme.

go to Photo Gallery then pick Bridal/Grooms and it is the second picture done with the 3-D bear Pan.
You could also use the mini Wonder mold pan cakes to make teepees with pretzals coming out the top for poles. Pipe arrows, feathers etc on sides.
I have a cute picture of a teepee and warrior made from the Wilton Treeliteful pan that is in the Wilton 1992 Yrbk. I don't know how to upload a picture directly to forum but if you want to see it PM me.

That cake is so cute! That Wondermold pan can be used for lots of different things!

There is a cute indian village on this Wilton site,

go to 'March International Dolls and on page 1 there is a cute village scene that could be adjusted to fit your purpose.
Just saw another native cake that I really like.

I think this idea could be simplified or made more detailed and look great.
If you don't want to paint the pictures on you could use laminated pictures of the buffalo and sun and remove before serving or myself I would use stamps to give the look.
