I am making my first 2 tier Birthday cake. Can someone reccomend a good easy Buttecream, that tastes good and you can use combination of Short and Butter?

Thank you

i prefer all butter - like a traditional one ie: 20oz icing sugar, 10 oz butter, some milk and flavouring.
i also like indydebis with crisco, but have done it with all butter too, and its just as good.
but usually you can do half and half if you want.

I looked at Indydebi's, Can I use 1/2 butter and 1/2 crisco?

Would I have to double her recipe for a 2 tierd cake, bottom layers are 12inc and the tops layers are 9 inch, how much do you think I need to make?

Thank you

indydebis should be fine with half butter half crisco.
dont know if one quantity would be enough, id probably go for 2. you could always pm her nicely and ask.

I have a great decorators icing and it has never done me wrong, it is all crisco but tastes great and you can add whatever flavoring you want! It's posted in my recipe box! Take a look if you would like!
