It's just a mixture of sugar and water. You can add extracts and liquors to it for flavor. It is really simple to make, just combine equal parts water and sugar in a pan, bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Kill the heat, let it cool, add your flavor of choice, and there you go!
