FANTASTIC cake - absolutely, totally and completely impressed here!
WOW just does not say it.
Speaking as a motorcycle lover, "WOW!!!!!!!!"
Where is an icon of a cook bowing to another? That would really sum up my feelings right now! Awesome job!

P.S. I love the twin v engine!
There are NO words to describe that!
I need to find my eyeballs...they flew out of their sockets!!!!
Your cake is AMAZING! I love all the detail that you put on it. Would you be willing to share the directions for making it? My husband and 3 sons love motorcycles and I would love to try this for them. Have a Great Holiday and thanks for sharing your talent.
Amazing!! Would have thought that was a toy before I thought it was a cake, lol=) Great job, the "cycle nut" must have just loved it, Jen
Simply amazing, as always!
How big is this cake? Looks very large. WOW! I am always in awe of your work!
That's one beautiful bike! What are the dimensions?

Okay, be honest......You were Duff Goldman's Instructor, right? Seriously, this is the MOST AWESOME CAKE I have EVER seen!!! So, how much of it is cake? I'm figuring the body and the front tire.
My hubby said "That's a mean lookin' cake!" LOLL
I have no more words....my tongue is hanging out of my mouth! LOLL
INCREDIBLE JOB!! YOU are my cake hero!

I don't want to start a new thread to address this, so perhaps someone can answer here. I really wish I could see this cake, but I changed my anti-virus software recently (from Norton to ZoneAlarm Pro) and suddenly I can't see photos that are posted in the threads. Does anyone know what setting I might need to change to be able to see them again? I am dying to see the picture of this cake - it sounds amazing!!
Thanks!!!
My DH and I both ride motorcycles and all I can say is that sure is one "sweet" ride. (pun intended) ![]()
Hello, everyone...and thank you all for your comments. You are more than sweet!
I just wanted to answer a couple of questions re:size and stuff...
The cake I baked was in an 11x15 that I cut into 3 cakes, torted, filled and stacked and carved into the body of the motorcycle....then I covered it in fondant, painted it black and added all the "mechanisms" which I painted silver. I had one day to make this cake. I was aiming to make the wheels out of cake as well, but I didn't have enough cake and didn't have time to make more. I use Rice Krispie treats for the wheels. It was the first time I had used them for a cake but it worked well. The bars are dowels that I painted silver.
If I had more time for this cake I would have added a license plate, a flag, & a street sign which would have all been personalized, but I had to make a decision as to what it had to have and what it could do without.
The board was about 2 ft x 10 or so inches.
I was so stuck with designing this thing. I procrastinated because I didn't know where to start.....once I carved the body, though, I "saw" it in my head, and it went smoothly. There aren't a whole lot of motorcycle cakes out there to use as examples...
Thanks again...I hope I didn't miss any questions...![]()
Brandibvakes...the photos are on my website
