I just ordered all 3 and got them in the mail today. I want to try them in a cake or cookies. Do I add these in addition to the ingredients needed for a cake or do they replace something else. Also, which should I try first? I like more of a sweet nutty flavor. I am pretty basic, Hazelnut or vanilla are my favs icon_biggrin.gif Thanks for the tips!

Hi SueW, where did you order them from? I may be interested? For sure the butavan can replace the vanilla. Not sure about Princess and creme bouquet

I've been using these just recently, also, and I've been adding a little in addition to the vanilla. Or, you can replace some of the vanilla. I don't have the butuvan, (it's on my list) but I've found that the Princess and the Creme Bouquet are very concentrated - so you don't need as much as you would straight vanilla.

The other emulsion I purchased (which is also wonderful) is Buttery Sweet Dough. Yumm! I can't wait to try it in cookies!

Edited to include: I think the Creme Bouquet has more of a citrusy lean, and the Princess is more towards the nutty.

I ordered my Creme Bouquet from Sweet Celebrations www.sweetc.com (it's Magic Line, the good one) and the others came from Country Kitchens www.countrykitchensa.com.

I have the creme bouquet and the butuvan. I love the butuvan. I use it in place of vanilla. It is great in cakes and icing.

YUM!!!

(not really crazy about the creme bouquet. it is ok)

I have the Creme Bouquet, Princess Cake & Cookie, and the Buttery Sweet Dough. The BSD is great in cinnamon rolls. I ordered all mine from National Flavors. You can't beat there prices. I paid just a litttle over $4.00 for a quart of my creme bouquet. icon_smile.gif If you spend only $45.00 the shipping is free.

Thanks for the input everyone! I am so excited to try these this weekend icon_biggrin.gif

majormichel : I got the butavan and princess emulsion on line at www.sugarcraft.com and I bought the creme bouquet at a supply store near my house called candyland crafts and they have a website called candylandcrafts.com. Not sure how they compare in terms of price but I hope that helps thumbs_up.gif

Please post after you've made some trial recipes and had a chance to compare the flavors - I'd love to hear what you think! I bought some Creme Bouquet but didn't like the smell so now I'm afraid to use it. I know I have to trust everyone here at CC who loves it! But it would be neat to see how they compare in a side-by-side taste test if you do one icon_smile.gif
