I know that this subject has come up in the past...I am in the market to buy an airbrush machine. I don't know what is good for the money. I am not needing anything "super top of the line", as this will be used to play with and self teach myself how to use it. If I really like it, I will purchase a REALLY good one in a few years. Any suggestions on what I should buy?

I'm hoping to get one in the next few months

Here is a site: http://kopykake.com/cd_compressors.html

I spoke to a rep and he said that most will get the Kroma-Jet airbrush (the black one). Iti s good for decorators who do airbrushing but not all the time. I also asked difference between single and double action brush and he said a single is like an automatic car where as the double is like stick shift. He said single would suffice for most decorators.

If you click on each one it will give you more info. I don't know of any other airbrush machines, but this is a start.

I just got mine from the local toy and hobby shop. It is a simple Aztek A270, it is an external mix ( uses a bottle for the color not a gravity feed), it was only 35.00, and it uses the caned air, but it has an adapter to connect to a compressor if I get good. icon_lol.gif

I wanted something to learn on, but not spend to much on incase I couldn't get the hang of it, and so far it has been wonderful, easy to use, easy to clean and most of all small enough to keep away from the tiny tots. thumbs_up.gif HTH
