I was wondering what butter everyone uses in the No Fail Recipe? If you use salted-do you cut out the salt it calls for? I always have used the unsalted butter but my husband grabbed salted from the store last night and I don't have time to get to the store this morning!
I use salted butter and salt. I never really noticed that it specified. Still tastes great!
I'm with Jenn, I know most baking recipes call for unsalted but I don't think it matters much, at least to my taste buds. A stick of butter has about 1/8 tsp. butter. I would omit the added salt but don't think here or there it will matter too much, JMHO.
I've tried both, and I liked using unsalted butter. I thought the salted butter plus the pinch of salt really brought out the butter taste. I didn't think because it was sweet enough.
Just my opinion.
