Ok there was a forum on how to get color off your hands... can't find it but I told how I got some off mine using dawn and the rub-dub -dub faucet method..HAHA! It works good on icing hands but works great on those onion and garlic smells. Takes the smell right away. ANyway I tried something when I had pink hands today using my Mr Clean magic eraser.... OMG that was like way faster and look no color not even on the cuticles!

I used just a warm water and a tad I mean a tad of dawn and rub the magic eraser over my hands.. so next time you got pink hands grab your Mr Clean Magic eraser !!! He truelly is a miracle worker on walls as well... Oh and magic markers on the tile floor and so on...
I have a tile countertop and the royal blue was not gonna come off so I got out my handy dandy little magic eraser and presto... CLEAN! thumbs_up.gif

If you havent tried them yet ... You are so missing out... I like the extra power ones just because of the shape... Wavy !

I definitely agree. I have never tried them on icing colors but I have literally tried them on most everything else in my house (no exageration). I believe this is the miracle cleaner - where has it been all these years. Thanks for the tip on the color!!!!

Cool! I always have magic erasers around. And no matter how many times I say I'm always going to wear gloves and not get color on my hands, it end up with color on them. So I know I'll use this tip. Thanks!

This has absolutley nothing to do with cakes, but if you ever use that rub on tan and you happen to hit a dry spot where the color sticks and looks darker ( you know, the tell-tell sign that you are using a tanning cream) anyway the magic erasers work great on that too.

Just a word of caution here:

I used these on myself for my hands - works great

My 2 yr old decided to color his foot, hands, shoulders, cheeks and "wee wee" (don't ask....) with a black permanent marker (funny now, not then) so I decided to use magic eraser on it - tested a small area, didn't see a problem, cleaned a larger area and about 15 min later a red rash like thing appears in these areas (just used in on his cheeks and arms not the other places - good thing) It seems that if you use it excessively it will leave a "burn" in that area.

The bright part of this story - my son has not colored himself again.

I don't mean to put a downer on your thread but just wanted to mention that those magic erasers have cancer causing agents in them. I was watching a documentary on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting) just thought you might want to be aware of that. I guess everything causes cancer nowadays! Just thought I'd give a heads up to those who might care!
