Friday Faves: Cakes for Kids, Weddings and Spring

Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!

As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.

Here are our faves of the week:

Jackie’s Faves

This ruffled wedding cake by atzelina is the essence of simple sophistication.  There is just the right amount of frill, and the fabric-style flowers complement the design perfectly.

This woodland tree stump cake by melanie-1221 is wonderful! I can see this cake fitting many different occasions. I just adore all the natural details and adorable characters that bring this cake to life.

“Lovely” is the word for this cake by AZCouture! The little bows and twisted swags bring whimsy to a modern pink and pearl design. Don’t you just love it?

Justine’s Faves

This cake by Beth648 is one of my favorite Tangled cakes so far! I love the scene and and the creative details from the movie, like the suns on the bottom tier. Plus, it features Maximus the horse along with Rapunzel and Flynn. Perfect for a birthday party!

Broadway plus cake?! What could be better? This creative cake from cathyjayconner features great scenes from five different musicals.

I want to fly away to fairyland just looking at this cake by atzelina.I love the hydrangea petals for the rooftop, the fun mushrooms and the cute wooden door.

Andi’s Faves

Artdora’s record player-shaped cake is such a fun, simple concept. The headphones looks so realistic!

I’ll admit that as soon as I saw this cake, I had to look up what a gruffalo is. EnchantedCC’s cake is so cute and charming that it makes me want to track down the book, even if I’m a little old for it.

These cupcakes are giving me spring fever! I love how bright and cheerful nesriniti’s flowers are, and the little bugs are just delightful.
