"tierra"- For Sugar Skull Bakers Collaboration 2015
"Tierra" - my contribution for SUGAR SKULL Bakers 2015 #sugarskullbakers2015 Happy to be back for a second year. I decided to create a Sugar skull this year that represented me, my life as a Mediium and my vision as an artist therefore I’ve entitled this piece “Tierra"- which means Earth in Spanish. Cows are symbolically very connected to Nature- to Earth, and to reproduction and fertility. The animal totem represents a sign of female power- more specifically childbirth and motherhood. There is no greater gift for me than being a Mother. So I chose to represent this through my Boho Chic Version of a Sugar Cow Skull. The feathers were important to add as they are also special to me. They represent Spirit and what the Day of the Dead is all about; honouring our loved ones and celebrating them and their lives. I dedicate this piece to all those who have lost their mothers. We honour them today and always.heart emoticon Special thanks to Berry from Berry's Sweet Studio who created this collaboration and everyone who helped behind the scenes. Congrats everyone created wonderful pieces.

This Cake Truly Has To Be One Of My Newest Favourites It Was My First Time Using The Sharon Wee Ruffle Ruffle Technique And I Love The Effe
This cake truly has to be one of my newest favourites. It was my first time using the Sharon Wee Ruffle Ruffle technique and I LOVE the effect. Extremely time consuming but so worth the outcome. #cakelove I was honoured to make this cake for such a beautiful couple inside and out. Daniela & Sebastian one of the nicest couples I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with. The wedding venue looked magical and the detail everywhere was spectacular too. What a gorgeous wedding!

Vintage Pumpkin!
Canadian Thanksgiving was this past weekend. ! We had a great family celebration and what better a time to give gratitude and thanks to our ever supportive family, friends and clients. We are very thankful for our many blessings & to all of you for sticking by us on this journey. THANK YOU! I decided the night before Thanksgiving to make a cake “on the fly”...these creative moments happen when I’m usually pressed for time and overtired, but they tend to produce great results. I’m happy to share with you my version of the vintage/modern pumpkin cake! I personally LOVE it and I hope you do too. ( Officially the fastest cake I’ve ever produced and all thanks to having some gumpaste flowers already in the studio). “A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.” ~Cicero

Ranunculus Floral Wedding Cake Central Magazine Submission
Finally getting around to posting my cake that was put in the July 2013 issue of Cake Central Magazine. Here's my story: Months ago I was asked to submit a wedding cake for "Wedding Floral Ranunculus Yellow" section in Cake Central Magazine and I received the news that it was accepted and published. MY FIRST ever CAKE in Print for an acclaimed Cake Magazine!!! I'm most proud of this cake given the tight deadline I had to complete it and the fact that I had never in my life made a Ranunculus Flower or Hand Painted on a cake. Those were two of the requirements to submit. So I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Somebunny To Love!
I loved making this Baby Shower Cake. I was asked to incorporate a Bunny theme into the baby shower cake for a girl. I thought the pink, white and grey would be so cute and I LOVE how this turned out. When I dropped it off this morning it matched her decor so well too. Congratulations Kirsten and a big Congrats to the soon to be first time grandma too!

Designer Handbag
Here’s my Birthday Cake I made back in March! I decided to make a Designer Handbag cake to represent my love of purses and to keep the trend going. I received a few Designer purses and couldn’t pick just one brand…so here’s my version. The flower was made following a tutorial I saw from Ciccio Cakes. It’s the 24 hour flower and I barely had that much time..but it worked out fabulous. The colour of the flower and the Birthday heading “Fierce Fabulous and Forty” are all indicative of how I feel right now. I love the blue colour. So bold and fresh. Life is good and I’m truly blessed for each new day I am here. Hope you like my cake!!

Unicorn & "toothless" From How To Train Your Dragon
Here is a cake I made for my niece and nephew who's birthdays fall a few days apart. My challenge was to make one cake for both of them. Dylan asked for "Toothless" from How To Train your Dragon and Mia asked for a Unicorn. To combine the two, we came up with what we call "The Enchanted Garden" cake... Hubby worked on Toothless and I think he came out great!

Ruffled Beauty!
My first attempt at a wonderful buttercream ruffle technique. Isn't it beautiful? I know I'm a "fondant only" kind of gal, but this ruffled cake as well as the rose swirl are two buttercream techniques I will gladly make for clients. Too beautiful to say "no". Happy 50th Birthday to Clara!

Floral Dreams Birthday Cake
My very good friend and her sister?s were throwing a 60th party for their mom. My girlfriend is quite the organizer and knows what she wants .She wanted a stencil cake with florals on it. She requested a pale green colour. Here is what I came up with. Some of the gumpaste flowers I made myself and some I purchased as filler. I love the way this turned out. One of my newest favourite cakes. Hope you like it too!

Communion Flowers For Serena
This client had a colour scheme she wanted to follow. I worked with her to create a look with pretty flowers. Her daughter wanted her to add some "bling" to the cake and this is what I came up with. Her testimonial was so nice to read...definitely a hit with her daughter and their guests.

Ruffles Communion Cake
My Goddaughter Ava, who happens to also be my neice received her First Holy Communion this past weekend. She is as girly girl as they come and wanted a special cake for her special day. She searched online with the help of her mom and came up with a few designs..she really liked one cake by Pink Cake Box that had the cross painted in the background and the name piped on top. (so that?s where that inspiration came from). But I knew her theme was dainty, lavenders, pinks a touch of green and her dress was ruffled?.so I promised to wow her and this is what I came up with. I really wanted to try the ruffles too?Very happy with how this turned out and even happier to see her face light up when she first saw the cake. All for you Miss Ava?xo
