Acoustic Guitar
Not my best work by any means, but Francis LOVED it!!!!! This is my last one for a while (officially, but if someone asks and it sounds like a fun idea I might do it!) as our son (8 yr old who has Aspergers syndrome) is going through a pretty trying time right now and we need to get things figured out for him instead of me playing with cake all the time!!!!

Spongebob And Patrick
I loved doing this cake - it actually *almost* turned out like I pictured it!!! Yay!!!! Basic cake flavors (chocolate and vanilla) with french vanilla buttercream. I used MacMom's flavored MMF recipe and added 4 oz melted candy wafers and a little food color to get the colors. It is the BEST tasting fondant EVER!! So yummy. I could just eat it all up! It was pretty easy to work with, too. Will definitely be my "go to" fondant!!!! I printed an edible image and made a gumpaste plaque for the topper. That didn't turn out quite like I wanted - it was much more pale than I thought it would be. But still, I actually like this cake! :) TFL

Valentines Day Whoopie Pies
These are the Valentine's Day Whoopie Pies I'll be making for friends and fam this year. Thought I'd make a sample batch so I don't screw 'em up!!!! They are dark chocolate with strawberry cream filling, caramel with caramel macchiatto filling and strawberry with french vanilla filling. They are YUM!!!!! I love trying something new and having it WORK!!! :)

Iowa State University
Birthday cake for ISU fan. Dark chocolate with cookies n cream filling and frosting. Also french vanilla buttercream frosting. The image was drawn on rice paper and adhered to the top. It kept curling up in transport (during the cold parts) but when it warmed up it flattened back out. Very annoying!!!! But they LOVED it, so that's all that matters!

Santa
This is my take on tonedna's santa claus for him/her cakes. Thanks for the inspiration tonedna!!! I knew I didn't want too do it just like she did - it's like American Idol contestants singing Celine Dion - ya just can't come close!!!! So thought I'd do it a bit different. Bottom is dark chocolate and top is french vanilla. both with french vanilla buttercream. I tried the marshmallow fondant with candy melts. I must've used too many candy melts because it was hard as a rock! So I had to make awhole other batch of MMF to mix with it and it turned out much, MUCH better! Tasted pretty yum, too! The bow is black satin ice. My cakes don't always turn out like they do in my head, but I'm kind of proud of this one!!!!

Medival Wedding Castle
Red velvet cake with almond buttercream and marbled grey/white fondant that I used a brick impression mat on. The board is also covered in marbled brown/white fondant marked with cobblestone impression mat. The pillars are styrofoam covered in the brick pattern fondant. This cake was sooooo much fun to do!!!! This is one that I did NOT want them to cut into!!! The topper was handmade by me as well. TFL!

Black And Apple Green Wedding
These wedding cake photos should be interesting with all the black frosting! Cake is french vanilla with peanut butter fudge frosting and fondant accents. I mixed green and yellow satin ice with wilton white and it actually tasted good - not too sweet and not chemically!

Toy Story
For my nephew's 7th birthday! He wanted Toy Story and I wanted to do something different than the ones I saw here - they were awesome though! :) It's chocolate fudge cake with cookies n cream filling and french vanilla buttercream. Not so psyched about the buttercream. I normally use an all shortening buttercream (courtesy of sugarshack!) and everyone raves about it - but I decided to try using half shortening-half butter and hubby does NOT like it at all and I didn't like the texture but thought it tasted okay. I guess I'll stick with what was working!!!! The decorations are all fondant (some Wilton, some leftover SI from another project). TFL!
