Can anyone offer advice on the following:

I, inadvertently, doubled the amount of butter in a cornbread recipe. Will it taste ok or do I need to trash it and start over.

Thanks in advance.

I'd add double all the other ingredients, and make a double batch.

too late to add more ingredients. I realized it after it was cooked.

With most recipes I would do this, too. But cornbread recipes typically have very little fat, so doubling the amount may not make much of a difference.

The OP is snoozing now, full of cornbread with butter gently trickling down her chin. sounds gorgeous.
