Just a thought and not sure if you can do it but maybe a gallery supporter could maybe put some links from the uncommented section of pics that haven't been commented on and give some newbies a chance to comment.
I'm doing the same as a previous poster said and adding posts to get there lol.

i thought gallery support member was a member who'd donated to the site. i've got over 100 and haven't seen that on my list. I plan on donating asap but have to funnel funds in to a tight budget.

i can't view the uncommented...ne1 know why???

I know the feeling! With being a newbie in the cake decorating world it is discouraging to not have any comments....I accept either good or bad. I need to know what I am doing and what I can do to be better, that's why I post them! Also good to know why I was unable to access the uncommented photos. I was wondering about that one.

I've never donated to CC as of yet, I haven't had the funds to spare to do so. I do believe you have to go to profile editor... not sure, but it's something you have to "subscribe" to kind of like the adult forums and galleries...

Also people who aren't current gallery supporter members can't view the link even if it's posted for them, and there isn't any other way to show the photos unless each link is copy and pasted. But before I was a gallery supporter member, I viewed them by going to galleries and viewing newest uploads and that was easiest because even if they already had comments and I didn't have anything to add I'd move on to the next

Also all you need to do is reach 100 posts and subscribe to the CC newsletter

I also want to make it known that my comment earlier in this thread wasn't bitching at anyone for not being as active as I'd like or anything like that. I couldn't care less how active anyone is lol. I know people are busy, when I get too busy to come in and visit CC, I come in when I have time and view the recent uploads and posts since my list visit and try to catch up on things lol.

But please don't think I was "attacking" any of you lol. I was just being the bitchy person I always am lol and complaining about not getting enough attention but yeah I don't really mind when I don't get any comments except it discourages me and makes me not want to keep doing this. I love doing cakes I've never been so passionate about anything else and I love doing this and I love this community and I can't stand going anywhere else for cake advice or anything.... I'm sorry if anyone took my comments the wrong way.

After I posted my most recent cake, my 14 year old asked what everyone said about it. I told him 'nothing yet! It took a day before someone commented and it really does make a world of difference for some of us newbies (and apparently their kids too!)

So to all you gallery support members-thank you, for doing this. I was kind of sad at first that no one said anything, but after reading this and knowing how busy we all are I understand.

For anyone who doesn't know what a Gallery Supporter Member is (which included myself, up until about 5 minutes ago), I noticed that if you click on anyone's "Gallery Supporter Member" title under their name/avatar, it links you right to a page explaining how to become one. I too had misbelieved that it was something that happened automatically based on unknown criteria, but now I see that it is a group that you willingly join with the intention of regularly helping out other CC'ers.

Now that I understand what it means, let me just say what is a fantastic thing for all of you GSM's to do! I know that I can't commit to being able to post daily, and I think you are all fantastic for supporting the CC community this way.

To be a Gallery Supporter you need to do what cshell has instructed on in the above post!

It is a great way to be supportive on this site! I just started doing it and I love it!

But! I can only do it when I am able to! Which is all different times! Maybe we need more supporters??!!

Please do not send a Private Message to the site admins, or moderators requesting membership

You must have at least 100 Posts made to the forum before you qualify.

To Join the Gallery Supporters click here:

Then choose "Gallery Supporters" from the dropdown, and click "View Information"
Then click the "Join Group" button.

Once the group moderator has approved your membership, you will have access to the "Gallery Supporters" Forum

This is a private area where your group can discuss strategies and organization for tackling our enormous photo gallery. The only members that have access to read or post in this forum are official members of the "Gallery Supporters"
Keep in mind that all other chat needs to take place in thier proper forums. The only posts that should ever be made here should be specifically for the purpose of Supporting the CakeCentral.com photo gallery.

You will also have access to view the "Uncommented Cake Photos" area of the gallery.

If you click the "galleries" tab ....
right next to "search" you will see, "View Uncommented". Click on that and it will take you to the same area where the cakes listed have no comments.

I was just curious as to what the reasoning was as to why you have to have 100 posts to be a GSM? Hmmmm.... (That and I want to get 1 post closer to that "magical" number.)

I don't know, but it took me a long time to make 100 posts. I think that if you have invested the time to post that many times, then you have had enough time to learn the site, meet some of the people, and know how important this site is as a community.

I also know tht I have joined other online groups and never went back - 100 posts takes time!

I have been trying to comment on cakes, but keep getting internet explorer script error. Can anyone tell me how to make that go away!?!?!?!

Hey, is it 100 posts in the forum or 100 comments in the galleries?

OK, I'll put in my 2 cents. I did not even realize that so many pictures were not getting any comments. I look through the pictures all the time but don't stop to add comments very often. Guess I figured there were others that were leaving messages. I'll try harder.

With all the people on this site it should be easy enough to ask everyone to just be aware and add a few extra comments any chance they have. It does not have to be any one's particular responsibility to do so. We are all here to support each other.

I for one love this site. and will be adding more comments to the pictures.

I too have been disappointed by the amount of time for me to get even one comment on pics I've posted, although I try to post comments for the pics I view. I am new to cake decorating and it can get discouraging when you excitedly post your creation and there is no feedback (even constructive criticism).

However, I've never taken any offense to it cause I know how busy things can get.

Picture posts don't count.
