I am having trouble getting my transfers to come off the paper without messing up. I have left them in the freezer different times, but still same problem. Should they be a certain thickness to do right? Love doing these, but filling stuff in free hand just doesn't look as good.

Try putting a thin coat of crisco on the wax paper or spray the wax paper with pam before you do the transfer. I do that everytime now and never have a problem.

How long did you leave it in the freezer? Is there any trace of icing on the paper when you peel it? If there is then you need to leave it in there a little longer.

I have left them in the freezer different times just to see if that would help. I'll try the crisco/pam and see how I do. Thanks!

Are you taking the transfer direction from the freezer, putting it on the cake and peeling the paper right away?

Or is there time inbetween? Even a minute or two?

After hearing a few people say they had trouble getting it to release from waxed paper, I tried plastic wrap. It released beautifully!

Me too, I didn't have wax paper so I used plastic wrap.Every time I've made one it's come off very easily.I don't spray it with anything.

Directly from freezer to cake. I'll try the saran wrap too. Thanks!

I use parchment paper--it has silicone applied to it--because I find that it stays flatter and more wrinkle free than saran.
