I know I've seen this in the posts before but I am unable to find specific posts on this subject. Do I use luster or pearl dusts, mixed with alcohol, to paint on fondant to make it have a nice sheen? Does anyone have any pictures for me to see? Thanks for your help.

luster dusts have true color with the sheen and pearl dusts are pearl dusts with iridescent colors.

I have painted with luster dust and pearl dust. I have also dusted fondant and gumpaste when it was dry. Both gave a nice effect.

you can check out my photos, bottom left specifically. I used pink luster and super pearl. I also used super pearl and blue luster on the dr. seuss cake.

I don't know how well you can see it, but I just used silver luster dust on the hydrant, and hose nozzle, and the ladder.
