I know I've seen this in the posts before but I am unable to find specific posts on this subject. Do I use luster or pearl dusts, mixed with alcohol, to paint on fondant to make it have a nice sheen? Does anyone have any pictures for me to see? Thanks for your help. icon_smile.gif

luster dusts have true color with the sheen and pearl dusts are pearl dusts with iridescent colors.

I have painted with luster dust and pearl dust. I have also dusted fondant and gumpaste when it was dry. Both gave a nice effect. icon_smile.gif

you can check out my photos, bottom left specifically. I used pink luster and super pearl. I also used super pearl and blue luster on the dr. seuss cake.

I don't know how well you can see it, but I just used silver luster dust on the hydrant, and hose nozzle, and the ladder.
