I love Bienenstich. You can also bake it in 2 parts. One without the almond mix and one simple. I usually bake it round and cut the layer with the almonds wile it is still warm. After i fill the first layer with the cream, i put the pieces on the cake. I do that course sometimes the almond mix is just to hart to cut and the filling is coming out the sides ugly. But again I LLLLOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE Bienenstich.
That looks like a great recipe. i am making this today. Have been looking everywhere for a good Bienenstich recipe. I will let you know how it comes out.
