I found this online after a CC user asked me what recipe I use. Although I haven’t tried this recipe yet it was on a well known website for recipes so I’m sure it’s good lol.
Coconut Pecan Icing
Ingredients
1 C of evaporated milk
1 C sugar
3 beaten egg yolks
1/2 C butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 C sweetened coconut
1 C chopped pecans
Instructions
Mix all ingredients except coconut and pecans in a medium saucepan and cook over low heat until mixture thickens, about 10 – 12 minutes. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool before frosting cake. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
This is the recipe I use for my german chocolate cake. It's excellent!!!
