Buttercream with gumpaste flowers. Used a carving technique in the buttercream ,inserted clear gel, then painted with edible gold
So elegant and classic
I Love, Love, Love this cake!! Looks like a Victorian music box the way the couple are on there! Beautiful!
Absolutley breathtaking. I love your roses. I still haven't mastered them so that they look real. When I use the Wilton method, mine don't look that real. Great job! ;-D
I'd like to take credit for the roses, but they are pre-made gumpaste roses. They come as sprays, on this one I just took them apart and arranged them the way I wanted.
wow as always !!!!
beautiful, love this technique
Very beautiful cake!
Elegant! Even the beautifully smoothed buttercream is perfection.
What a beautiful cake!!! I absolutely love it. Just gorgeous!
I love the carving technique you did. It looks so cool! What did you use to carve out the buttercream and how deep did you carve it? Did you paint the just the gel with gold or the whole indentation? This is such a gorgeous, unique cake!
This is truly one of the most beautiful cakes I've ever seen. Bravo!
Thank you all for the wonderful comments-to answer a few questions, the carving was done with a rose tip on the tip of my index finger. The gel was piped in and then painted with the gold. Buttercream strip was first put onto an acetate sheet, spread smooth , then attached to bottom of cake. Hope that helps
absolutely stunning! I love it!!!
