'Kabouter Plop' is a very popular tv-series / film for childeren in The Netherlands and Belgium. He is a gnome that lives in a toadstool (sort of mushroom) in the forest with his friends. This little birthday boy turning 2 just loves Plop and wanted a Plop birthday cake. I think it turned out really nice. This fluffy vanilla (sponge) cake is filled with cream and strawberries, covered in marzipan (as a toadstool red with white dots) and decorated with a combination of marzipan and vanilla fondant. I tried to make the Plop figure come to life a bit by making parts 2d/3d and made 3d decorations like toadstools, a blue bird and a little birthday cake with two candles. The boys name is on the side, I used the same font and colours used foor Plops name in the series. He loved it!!! Thanx for looking!
